Ingredients
For the base
- 300g strong bread flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast (from a sachet or a tub)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
- For the tomato sauce
- 100ml passata
- handful fresh basil or 1 tsp dried
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
For the topping
- 125g ball mozzarella, sliced
- handful grated or shaved parmesan (or vegetarian alternative)
- handful of cherry tomatoes, halved
- To finish
- handful of basil leaves (optional)
Method
STEP 1
Making the base – As usual take flour into a bowl and then stir it with yeast and salt.Now pour in 200ml warm water and the olive oil and unite with a wooden spoon until you have a delicate, genuinely wet batter. Now knead it on a flour surface for about 5 minutes until you you observed smoothness in it. take a tea towel to cover it and set aside. the dough rise if you leave for sometime but that’s not required for this thin crust.
STEP 2
Sauce – to make the sauce, mix the basil, crushed garlic and passata together, Then season to you can leave it at room temperature to stand while you are doing shaping the base.
STEP 3
Roll out the dough – quick kneed is required in case you leave it to rise if no then you can follow next step. now make two large rounds from dough these should be about around 25cm across, an important suggestions while you rolling dough using rolling pin you should focus to make the dough more thin because it will rise in oven. take doughs on two baking sheet
STEP 4
paste the souce on the surface of thin dough this step is recommended at the time when you put the dough into baking tray. you can apply souce with the back of spoon. scatter the tomatoes and cheese and drizzle with season and olive oil. put a preheated sheet or tray on the upper side of the pizza and bake it for about 8-10 mints until crisps.Present with just enough more olive oil, and basil leaves if utilizing.
